DIRECTIONS FROM : A59 (FROM PRESTON)
Follow A59 (Liverpool) - going through Penwortham, past Hutton and Much Hoole - through
several traffic lights and roundabouts.
At roundabout turn left onto Carr House Lane
(B5247) - through Bretherton into Croston.
Bear right (Station Road) to centre of
village, passing the Co-op then at the T-junction bear left until you come to the Grapes Pub
on the left. Turn right over narrow hump-backed bridge (Town Bridge) onto
The Hillocks, past the barn on the left and then take the next left. Yarrow Cottage
is on the left.
DIRECTIONS FROM : M6 (FROM NORTH)
Exit at junction 28 Leyland and turn right to traffic lights then turn right (A49),
Wigan Rd.
Through the traffic lights, under the railway bridge and at the Bay Horse
turn right at traffic lights onto Runshaw Lane.
Keep going to the T-junction, and
then turn right to Croston Southport Rd (A581).
At the Highfield Pub turn left
to Croston, follow twisting road until you see the Grapes Pub on the right, turn
left over narrow hump-backed bridge (Town Bridge) along The Hillocks, past the barn
on the left and then take the next left. Yarrow Cottage is on the left.
DIRECTIONS FROM : M6 (FROM SOUTH)
Exit at junction 27 Standish, turn left onto B5209 and immediately
move into outside
lane, turn right by BP garage (B5250) to Eccleston (Mossy Lea Road) - through Heskin
and Eccleston, and bear left to Croston.
At the T-junction turn left to Croston (A581).
At the Highfield Pub turn left to Croston, follow twisting road until you see
the Grapes Pub on the right, turn left over narrow hump-backed bridge (Town Bridge)
onto The Hillocks, bear left, past the barn and then take the next left. Yarrow
Cottage is on the left.
DIRECTIONS FROM : M61 (FROM SOUTH)
Exit at junction 8 Chorley, then turn left to Chorley/Southport. At the Roundabout turn
left onto A6. Stay on outside lane.
At the roundabout, turn right to Southport (A565),
take third exit at next roundabout, (i.e. straight on) to Euxton - B5252.
Go straight
across the A49 at the traffic lights by The Bay Horse down Runshaw Lane to the
T-junction
and turn right to Croston (A581) Southport Rd.
At the Highfield Pub turn left to Croston, follow twisting road until you see
the Grapes Pub on the right, turn left over narrow hump-backed bridge (Town Bridge)
onto The Hillocks, bear left past the barn and then take the next left. Yarrow Cottage
is on the left next to the cemetery.
